Northern Brewer is a homebrewing company. If you're reading this, you probably already know (or at least suspect) that homebrewing is a fun, engaging hobby and/or way of life. Just as many thousands of others do, Northern Brewer employees repeat the mantra "Relax, don't worry, have a homebrew" while practicing the hobby of homebrewing; but at work we strive for a totally different approach to the business of homebrewing: don't relax, don't settle, continue to improve.

Dry Irish Stout | Behind the Brew
Переглядів 1,2 тис.4 місяці тому
Arguably Ireland's most famous export, dry stout has a loyal following all over the world. Northern Brewer's Dry Irish Stout kit has a pronounced roasty, coffee-like flavor and aroma, imparted by a generous helping of roasted barley. Hop bitterness enhances the dryness, and the medium body makes for a very drinkable dark beer. This is one of the most popular styles among home brewers; after a f...
Irish Red Ale | Behind the Brew
Переглядів 1,5 тис.4 місяці тому
Take a look Behind the Brew for Northern Brewer’s Irish Red Ale beer recipe kit. This is one of our most popular year-round kits, but obviously gets a lot of additional love around St. Patrick’s Day as people brew it for their festivities. This medium-bodied beer has a deep copper-red color, toasty sweet flavor, just a bit of spice and fruit from the hops, and a slightly nutty character from th...
Irish Blonde Ale | Behind the Brew
Переглядів 1,3 тис.4 місяці тому
We're going Behind the Brew on our Irish Blonde Ale beer recipe kit. While not an “official” beer style according to the BJCP or Brewer’s Association, you will find some commercial examples of the beer in Ireland and the US. Our version is close to the hearts and brew kettle of many homebrewers year-round, and especially around St. Patrick’s Day. You can think of Northern Brewer’s Irish Blond A...

5-7 days fermenting ? Are you guys sure?
Need to do this again, but as a blind
Is there any worry about hop creep with the dry hop on secondary?
Thanks for this video
I've brewed this one, nice drop. One longneck =.06 reading 👍
Can this be used to cork champagne
Can you age the beer in the carboy longer, say 6 months, amd it produce a better tasting brew?
Ageing defeats the purpose of these ales and I say that as an Irishman who drinks them. They are pretty much mild ales and are meant to be drunk fresh as opposed to aged if you want to keep it soft around the edges.
I have 2 paquets for That yeast how many have to use In a 5 Gallon batch 1 o 2?
I'm really dumb here. If the bottom is capped off, how is it transferring?
🍻
Ma, maybe a bit too fast, but nice effort
This was actually my first brew also! Brew Day 03/28/24 and it was fantastic! Thank you for the recipe!
Why would you ever wish to pour the entire starter's wort volume into your fermenter? That's usually pretty skanky stuff. DON'T DO THAT. As mentioned, take a day to chill the starter, decant, allow to warm and add some of your fermenter's wort, mix well and pitch. Very simple and much better.
Best airstill review
I have a question? Wouldn't ths carbonate a still cider if you add sugar? What if i put sugar in after its done fermenting and i put it in my fridge, will i blow up the jug?
Grinder is bad. Hopper is garbage and continually comes off no matter how many times I tighten the screws
No Hops my Lord 👩🫛🤴
I am doing another 5 gallon batch under pressure with AS2 and it's nice. I started with Red Star Cuvee which I am sure is very similar to Cote de Blanc. I wonder how much under pressure fermenting helps.
I found a voltage control was needed as its heater was to much .Perfect after that.
Great video.
Ever get worried over methanol? It seems way more of an issue with distilling
Is this course useful for people who aren’t using their keg for home brewing?
thanks for this. Just bought a still and considered making a batch of beer from time to time. This video made the process very clear
Ahhhh be careful about adding water into your brew!!! It can water the whole thing down. Take a small sample of your finished cider, or use juice, then add in your sugar in there
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
This is too much for me to handle. This is not three easy steps. Thank you, but no.
Thanks for this
Thank you easy and quick vid
Why not Lutra kveik
i love northern brewer products
its easy. Anyone can do it. I was in jail and made wine with fruits, juice they gave us, sugar and bread I put in a glove that I poked a bunch of holes in for the yeast. .. it worked. and was strong. its easy to make wine if you got the fruit.
THE MOST STUPID THING IN THE WHOLE WORLD IS TO DRIN= BEER!! YOU NEED TO INFLATE YOUR STOMACK TO A SHIT SHAPE IN ORDER TO GET THE BUZZ OF ONLY ONE JIGGER OF WISKY!! GET REAL=== > BEER IS VERY STUPID DRINK !!
NONESENSE:= YOU NEED TO EXPLAIN THE BASICS FIRST !
WHAT IS facken:= MALT??? WHAT IS IT??????????? CAN YOU EXPLAIN THE BASICS?
I brewed this all grain beer kit two weeks ago using the Clawhammer Supply BIAB system. Fermented with LalBrew Voss Kveik Ale Dry Yeastin a stainless steel conical bucket in my garage. Temperatures were in the 60s at night and upper 80s during the day. I bottled it four days ago using a can of Northern Brewer Fast Prime priming sugar solution. Chilled last night and enjoyed today at lunch. Highly recommend.
Silly question does this work with cola style bottles like classic coke bottles?
Great review. Thanks guys.
Great video. Where do you get the flask weights? Heating a glass flask on a gas flame it’s recommended to use a wire gauze sheet with ceramic centre to distribute the heat.
Excellent content.
Awesome! Thanks
how did they do it in the past without sanitization?
Yh thats ruined.. way to much aur getting i to it
I did a sugar wash how long do I run the distiller on 195 F
Request advice on the optimum pH of Philly Yeast wort for fermentation.
Great Video. But need you to offer more info on the temperature control unit please.
I got a bear bottle today
US-05 ale yeast always tastes great in apple cider. very crisp finish. cote des blanc was what i used to use before i tried US-05. it tastes a bit too apple-pie for my palate (i dont like overly sweet) and tastes more like dessert than I think it should.
What does just bog standard granulated sugar come under?
So if using fresh apples wash apples and juice?
